Many churches of today teach that salvation is all we need to live a successful Christian life. But the Bible says we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. This, to me, means there is a whole lot more to salvation than just getting our ticket to Heaven. The Bible also tells us that Jesus came to set us free. Yet it also tells us that the devil's goal is to steal, kill, and destroy! Thus from this we can begin to understand that we are in a spiritual battle between righteousness and evil. There are only two paths in this life. One is a very narrow path that leads to God...and the other is a very wide path that leads to Satan. It is our choice. And there is no comfortable middle ground. Do not be deceived. We are going one way or the other. Deliverance is the active participation with the Holy Spirit's help - in identifying where we are snagged...and a playground for the enemy...and getting ourselves set free by the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of our God and Father.
